P3 say goodbye to the butterflies
15th May 2018
P.3 have had an exciting time following the life cycle of a butterfly. We started off with little caterpillars in our classroom and watched them grow bigger before forming a chrysalis. We waited patiently for them to hatch out from their chrysalis and we returned from our Easter holidays to find 4 beautiful butterflies!
We enjoyed watching them carefully as they drank nectar which helped them grow bigger. We also enjoyed watching them flying in their net.
Sadly it was time to say goodbye and we released the butterflies into the wildflower garden.
